your blog could not be posted

message on my videophone

so I will be posting in GENEALOGE
until my TalkTalk broad band is finally working.

The this blog will become my picture of the day show place - I continue to take 70 to 100 snapshots daily.

The mobile blog function is broken possibly because I have used it so much and await an enormous bill, I telephoned 3 dk three times but they cannot really help me or even give me a price.

Cult TV for train spotters

I watch this on cable TV any time I can not sleep when I am in Denmark. The lack of commentary and simple perspective of rails, track and scenery appearing from the vanishing point help me relax and fall asleep again. In England the LIDL satellite kit does the job getting Hotbird 13E and Hellas 39 east and on Astra 1b 19.2E eurosport.de for my cycle races and both bahn.tv (german state rail's own tv station) and Das Erste - page 304 of ARD text tv tells me that at 03:20 am tomorrow morning Die schönsten Bahnstrecken Deutschlands Bonn - Berlin is continuing. Today I reawoke with the TV still on and a scandal about stale meat and lidl.de but my passive german is not good enough to get to the root of the matter. BTW Berlin Zoo station is a cult object itself but that is another story. Just down loaded the java MS Messenger on this videophone so send me an IM to hugh_watkins@msn.com if you like :-)

Early start

After a good night's sleep I was able to start my new Macintosh work station and make it format an old 80 gb hard disk from Argos. I am still in network hell with a limited dial up pay per minute and my home network is also down without DSL and so I will spend the morning at Chelmsley Wood library doing email and researching and blogging.

On my balcony

Grounded

The three towers seen from the Swiss Air plane on wednesday here looming above the Birmingham china town. The glass green one is the SAS Hotel which I blogged in the spring.

Sunrise

at Chelmsley Wood after another restless night. About 400 + tv channels to investigate from two satellites so far thanks to the Lidl dish. China is opening one new coal fired power station every four days and is now the third largest economy in the world pushing UK down one place. This means that global warming is unstopable in my opinion.

Rain today

Birmingham city centre yesterday seen from the down wind leg of the approach circuit to BHX from ZRH. The green glass tower is the SAS hotel and I can spot the post office tower and the rotunda and the Bullring too which I often blog. The photo was downloaded from my handicam memory stick to the Mac and up again to the videophone to be blogged. I have an emergenay dialup thanks to AOL. So I am only answering urgent emails. Resting today and markets tommorrowg
