autumn watch

ducks, geese and coots approach looking for a hand out and the swans have all long gone from this Chelmsley brook.

This mini series is over now, but I really enjoyed this on tv:- BBC - Science & Nature - UK Wildlife - Autumnwatch with Bill Oddie, Kate Humble and Simon King.
Find out all about the series and watch some great video of autumn wildlife. . . . about six weeks of autum before it is winter here-

The uploading of my images went very very slowly, so a mini blog today.

seen on german tv

i helped restore a couple of traction engines near Loughborough in 1954 and 1955

a Buffalo Pitts road locomotive

http://www.bahntv-online.de/
which is one of the thousand free view channels I can see with my LIDL satellite reciever

the wheels look lightly built like a pit winding wheel or a large pulley in a mill of factory rather than an english road locomotive.
